Happy Dog Walking and Pet Sitting - Erie CO

FAQs

Which areas do you cover?
I serve Erie, CO and within a 10 mile radius of the surrounding communities.

What services do you offer?
Pet Care Services include dog walking; “daytime” pet sitting; and general pet care as needed. I am unable to offer overnight pet sitting.
Concierge Services include shopping, running errands, groomer drop offs and pick-ups; mail delivery and pick-ups; dry cleaning and laundry drop offs and pick-ups.  Please note that this list is not all-inclusive and I am open to discussing your individual needs to formulate a plan that works for you.

Do you work on a scheduled basis, or are you on call?
It’s best to schedule appointments ahead of time, but I am flexible and will do my best to accommodate requests.

How far in advance would you need for me to request concierge service, or a walk for my dog(s)?
Ideally, please provide 2-3 weeks’ advance notice.

Do you offer pet sitting?
Yes – “daytime” pet sitting.  For dogs, this means that I will arrive at your home at 6:00am to feed your doggie breakfast and go for a walk; I will return at 11:00am for a lunchtime walk; at 4:00pm I will feed your companion dinner and we’ll take another walk; and finally, I take your best friend for one more walk at 9:00pm and get him/her settled in for the night.

Do you require that our pets’ vaccines are current?
Yes, especially for your pet’s safety and the safety of other animals it may encounter.

Are you bonded and insured?
Yes, through Business Insurers of the Carolinas. If you would like to see a copy of the certificate, please contact me here.

Have you joined a pet sitting organization?
Yes, I am a member of the National Association of Professional Pet Sitters.

What is your protocol if something happens to my pet while under your care?
If there is an emergency situation, I will call your vet first to assess the situation, then contact you.  If it’s after hours, I will contact the nearest (or your preferred) emergency pet hospital, then contact you.

I have three dogs. Do you charge individually, or is there a small additional pet fee?
I charge a flat rate of $20 per visit. If your doggies can all walk together, there is no extra charge. If they need to walk seperately, it is an additional $10 per pup, for each extra walk.

How long are your walks?
30 minutes is a minimum walk. Your dog’s well-being is of utmost importance, so if we need to walk longer than 30 minutes, we will, at no additional charge.

What happens in severe weather?
I will need the name and phone number of a trusted neighbor. If I am unable to reach your home due to impassable roads, I will contact that person. Your pet’s health and well-being are my utmost concern and I will contact you as soon as possible to keep you informed of these events. In our area, this especially pertains to blizzards, floods and/or tornadoes.

Can you let me know how my pet is doing while I’m away?
Absolutely! I will text you each visit with a status.

How is payment handled?
I accept PayPal, Venmo, checks or cash.

What is your mailing address?
If you're interested in mailing a check payment, please contact me and I will send it along.
